Mount Batur Climbing Information
Mount Batur is an active volcano that is worth exploring. At the top, you can see steam vents that emit heat without the smell of sulfur, perfect for boiling eggs or bananas. The view of Lake Batur at the eastern foot of the mountain is also truly amazing, especially if you are lucky to see the lake covered in white clouds. Plus, it's common for local monkeys to approach hikers, so consider saving some of your snacks to share with them.
